The screen representing the process of upgrading weapons.
One of the biggest novelties in the second installment of the XCOM franchise is the option to upgrade the weapons of your soldiers, by installing various attachments to them, increasing their effectiveness, or giving them new properties. You can install up to two upgrades on a single weapon, but you can't install two of the same kind - and just like with the case of PCS, once an upgrade is installed you won't be able to get it back (it can only be replaced by a new one).

How to acquire weapon upgrades
The main source of weapon upgrades are fallen enemies - one, sometimes twice during a single mission an enemy will drop an item which can be picked up, and most often of one of those dropped items there will be a weapon upgrade piece. Obviously, the rarer and more powerful an upgrade is, the less are the chances of picking up one, which is why you should think twice before installing a Superior-rank upgrade.
The second choice is to use the Black Market, but similarly to PCS, it's quite an expensive source of weapon upgrades, as it requires you to spent a lot of Intel points, which are better spent elsewhere during the first weeks of the game.
Recommended upgrades for specific classes
Each of the classes can use any upgrade on their weapon, but some of them are more useful than others, such as:
- Ranger - this class benefits the most from the LaserSight attachment, which increases the overall high critical chance of the soldier, as well as from the Repeater upgrade, which gives a chance to instantly kill an enemy. Repeater can be swapped for HairTrigger, giving you a chance of an additional action.
- Sharpshooter - Expanded Magazine and Scope. The former one will give the soldier additional ammo, which is extremely useful while using the Serial ability, whereas the latter will increase the chances of hitting the target. If you want, you can swap the Extended Magazine for the AutoLoader, which gives you the option to reload for free.
- Grenadier - ExpandedMagazine and HairTrigger. The first one will come in handy when using a lot of Grenadier's abilities, which consume a lot of ammo, and the second one gives a chance to have an additional action, allowing the soldier to use two powerful abilities during a single round.
- Specialist - Scope and Repeater. The first one will increase the aim, which is extremely crucial for this class, as the Specialist is the class that depends mostly on weapon attacks. The second upgrade allows the soldier to instantly kill an enemy.
- Psi Operative - Hair Trigger and Scope. A chance for an additional action will allow the soldier to shoot and then use one of many abilities of this class, whereas the Scope will increase the chances to hit the target. Both of those upgrades are quite optional, as the Psi Operative depends mostly on his / her psi abilities, not on regular attacks.
XCOM 2 made its digital debut on Feb. 5, but that hasn’t stopped an ambitious modding community from cobbling together a handful of XCOM 2 add-ons before the weekend was over. As is typically the case with community content, they’re not all winners. But we’ve rounded up more than a few XCOM 2 mods you might consider downloading before getting started on your next run through the XCOM 2 campaign.
Disable Mission Timers
Disable Mission Timers does exactly what it advertises…and what a surprisingly large cross-section of the XCOM 2 community has been begging for since the game debuted on Feb. 5. Hulasatul hulasa ismet pdf maker. Unfortunately, the mod isn’t perfect yet. Disable Mission Timers doesn’t work on missions where players defend the Avenger from invasion or during Retaliation events. But it does work during Guerilla Ops and other timed events.
It’s important to note the mod’s creators consider this a very early build of their XCOM 2 add-on and recommend that anyone planning to install Disable Mission Timers either back-up their existing saves or begin a new campaign before using the mod. No one wants to have to start over from scratch this soon.

Extend or Disable the Avatar Meter
There are two ways to go about adjusting the Avatar Meter in XCOM 2. The easy way is by downloading the Disable Avatar Meter add-on from Nexus Mods. The slightly more challenging way is to edit one of the .ini files to adjust the Avatar Meter. The upside to taking the tough approach is that players just looking to adjust the challenge, rather than remove it, can choose to increase or decrease the size of the Avatar Meter. And it doesn’t even take that long. Here’s how:
1. Find the parent directory for Steam. It’s usually C:Program Files (x86)Steam
2. Find the DefaultGameData.ini file in SteamAppscommonXCOM 2XComGameConfig
3. Open the file in Notepad
4. Search (Ctrl+F) for “AlienHeadquarters_DoomMaxValue” (no quotation marks)
5. Change the digits (represented by X and Y) in “AlienHeadquarters_DoomMaxValue[X]=Y” so that X matches your current difficulty level (0 is easy, 1 is normal, 2 is hard, 3 is impossible) and Y is the number of squares you want the Avatar meter to have.

True Concealment
True Concealment makes one of the most interesting mechanical additions to XCOM 2 work in the way that many of us assumed it would during our first few hours with the game. With the mod installed, mission timers won’t begin to countdown until ADVENT forces have spotted your squad. The good news is that the mod’s creators believe it will play nicely with some other mods that alter the mission timers in XCOM 2. The bad news is the “some” in that line suggests the mod won’t play well with some XCOM 2 add-ons, too. But at least those who thought timers shouldn’t begin to tick until Concealment is broken didn’t have to wait long to have their wish granted.
Hidden Potential
Hidden Potential bills itself as “a spiritual successor to the original Second Wave” add-on for XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Second Wave was a bit of free DLC, released in January 2013, that gave fans the ability to tweak some settings in ways that made Enemy Unknown campaign significantly more difficult. Now, the team behind Hidden Potential hopes to create a similar add-on for XCOM 2.
Right now, Hidden Potential randomizes stat growth and removes the game’s existing stat caps. Changes have also been made to the dice rolls that determine starting sharpshooter and psi operative statistics, in an effort to make them a bit more effective at lower levels. Right now, the team is referring to this as Hidden Potential v0.1 but it’ll be interesting to see how the mod continues to grow.
The Long War Studios Mods
It probably won’t come as a shock that the three XCOM 2 add-ons from Long War Studios have already proven to be the most popular of the first wave. The studio’s Leader pack introduces a new soldier class to XCOM 2, with tech trees that focus on bolstering the combat effectiveness of the leader’s squad. As you probably deduced, the SMG pack adds new submachine guns that can be equipped in place of assault rifles. Finally, the Muton Centurion pack adds a new kind of Muton to the game, more powerful variants of the brutish ADVENT soldiers with a new War Cry ability that grants bonuses to nearby allies.

New Countries
In our interview with Jake Solomon, the XCOM 2 director specifically mentioned the ease with which players could create representations for the many countries whose flags, soldiers and names didn’t make the launch build of XCOM 2. So New Countries is exactly what we expected on Week One.
The XCOM 2 mod adds 22 new nationalities to the game, along with flags and male/female soldier names for each, and the creator of New Countries even tried to account for cultural differences in naming conventions. The examples cited on the Steam Workshop are differing potential last names for Icelandic men and women. And, considering Sgt. Nutcracker has already updated New Countries once since launch, it seems safe to assume New Countries will only continue to grow throughout 2016.

Evac All Button
Ever wished you extract all of your soldiers at once, instead of evacuating them to the Skyranger one by one? Now you can!
Occasionally, the mod will create some weird sound effect overlaps. But there shouldn’t be any negative impact on your saves or game performance. That said, it probably couldn’t hurt to back-up your primary save if you aren’t planning to start a new campaign.
Character Customization Mods
While many of the early mods for XCOM 2 address perceived mechanical shortcomings, there are plenty of folks already hard at work on new content designed specifically for soldiers. These creations range from new weapons to new props and costume pieces. And there are already some ridiculous items being added to the XCOM 2 catalog.
There’s a mod that swaps which side your soldiers wear an eye patch on, making it that much easier to recreate a certain world-renowned spy from the Metal Gear franchise. One mod adds handful of new hats to customize your soldiers. There’s even a gun that shoots pigeons, yes, pigeons, created to fulfill a public request from XCOM 2 art director Greg Foertsch during the Firaxis Megapanel at PAX South 2016.

- COL-16 Pigeon Gun(New Gun) – Steam Workshop

Character Pool Sets
Last, but certainly not least, XCOM 2 players are already exporting and sharing custom creations from the Character Pools. As you’d expect, there are no shortage of attempts to recreate familiar faces from pop culture, many of which we’ve rounded up below for your convenience. Obviously, there will be dozens of additional Character Pool downloads coming in the next few weeks. But these seemed like good starting points for longtime gamers, sci-fi fans and even Game of Thrones junkies.

History & Developments
Xcom 2 was designed by Firaxis Games and published by 2K Games for microsoft windows, osx and linux on February 2016. And then for Playstation 4, and Xbox one in September 2016.
The game is set in the future where the organization XCOM failed to defeat the invading aliens and were forced into hiding and using guerilla tactics. So they now have to conduct operations from a mobile base and most of the technology is not on par with the aliens. Luckily for us we can make use of some xcom 2 cheats.
Gameplay
The style of Xcom games has been a turn-based tactics genre which has many fans across the world although this gaming style is not for everyone and they might think it boring compared to all the first person fast paced shooter games out there. This game highlights the story of what has actually happened where the player is the commander of the military organization which has been reduced to resistance fighters since losing the war against the aliens.
So now as a commander in this resistance group the player now has to give commands to the squad members during the battles and make sure everything runs smoothly and the operations are a success. You would have to take charge of the engineering and research departments which will allow you to create more innovations that will aid in the resistance effort that will assist in the battles. by using xcom 2 cheats you can acquire tools you need for free. A similar game to this is Stellaris.
You would be in charge of recruiting soldiers and troops where the soldier class have their own set of skills and abilities. There are different soldiers in this class such as the grenadier, and ranger class who have different fighting styles that you must use at the appropriate times when called for. By using xcom 2 console commands this becomes a breeze.
Reception
Xcom 2 was greeted with many favorable reviews and critics were very happy to give their opinion on how the game looked and how it played. There were many improvements since the last game and many chances to take advantage of the xcom 2 console commands to type in some xcom 2 cheats that will unlock some cool abilities. Some of the innovations in this game were the fact that the new concealment system complemented everything so well and added a new layer of depth to the whole gaming experience.
Conclusion
Xcom 2 console commands will prove to be helpful so that you can easily type in the necessary editing to the game or activate certain attributes that are actually Xcom 2 cheats. There are also gamers with modding skills in the country and they are able to create really good Xcom 3 mods that the community are always eager to try. Another way is to use the xcom 2 trainer which are widely available to download from multiple sources from all across the internet. HomeGaming20 Best XCOM 2 Mods To Enhance The Gameplay
XCOM 2 is a very popular turn-based tactical game and chances are, you are here because you have already played it. While the game is intense and fun, what with you playing as a commander training soldiers for battle, dropping them into battle zones, and coordinating all your soldiers for an attack. The game is played on a huge map with isometric battlefields and the goal is to defeat the aliens which have conquered our world. While it is definitely fun, it can be made better. Thankfully, there are some great mods for XCOM 2. The following mods benefit the gameplay in XCOM 2 one way or the other, with some being an exception because we all like having simple fun once in awhile. Before we get to the mods, you should know how to apply these mods. It is a simple process:
How to Install Mods in XCOM 2
First, you have to create a folder dubbed “Mods” and this should be created under SteamsteamappscommonXCOM 2XComGame. Then, place the mods in that folder after you’ve downloaded them. Then the mods will be available in the game’s launcher. It’s that simple!
So, now that you know how to apply XCOM 2 mods, here are the 20 best XCOM 2 mods you should try to enhance the gameplay:
1. Stop Wasting My Time
In fast paced games, some irregular breaks really ruin the rhythm of the game. XCOM 2 has some of these breaks in the game. These Breaks occur between shots, after killing someone or running for cover. This results in a choppy experience for some people. Stop Wasting My Time is the solution to these breaks and makes the game more fluid. This mod does not speed up the game to an extent that it seems rushed, rather, improves the overall experience.
2. Free Camera Rotation
In a strategy based game like XCOM 2, a view of your surroundings is required for optimal planning. XCOM 2 traditionally does not include the feature to move the camera in a 3-Dimensional plane. This mod was created to have a proper overview of your surrounding, so that you can plan and move accordingly. The mod includes zooming in and out, 45-degree rotations and even the traditional fixed angles.
3. New Countries
This mod, as you guessed it, adds more countries to XCOM 2. XCOM 2 already has a wide variety of nations, but once you have finished the game there isn’t much more you can do. So, for all those who want more action and gameplay, the New Countries mod will be ideal. It adds 21 new soldier nationalities; from Slovakia to the UAE. This mod does not only add gameplay but also makes the game more diverse and full of more experiences.
4. Cheat Mod
This mod is for the players who would like some fun once in a while. You’ve got the control. The Cheat Mod opens up a world of amazing tricks and features which would otherwise be impossible to use in XCOM 2. For example, you can stop the Advent Clock and roam around at your own pace, or even have unlimited inventory storage. The Cheat Mod can do much more than this and should be checked out.
5. More Maps
XCOM 2 is loaded with different areas and maps. This is done by having small packets or parcels of information about a particular place and randomizing these parcels to create unique areas, that is why every time you play you get a different battleship each time. This mod brings more than what already is present. The mod introduces more parcels created from the game itself, blending it perfectly in the game. The parcels aim to bring more unique content to the same maps, rather than completely new levels.
6. ACORG-47
This mod makes it to the list for its sentiment value, as well as uniqueness. It was the first ever mod to be released for this game, making it of great value to the players who want to see where the community started at. ACORG-47 replaces all the guns in the game with corgis. That’s right, cute little dogs who stick their tongues out when ‘fired’. The mod is really fun to see in action, and really brightens your day.
7. Muton Centurion
This mod is from the creators of XCOM: Long War themselves, and is perhaps one of the best mods for XCOM 2. The mod introduces a new muton to the aliens, and this muton is not like the others. It is a much larger, much stronger, and a much more brutal foe than your average alien already present in the game. This is for those players who want more difficulty out of this game, as going head to head with one of these Centurions is no easy task. These creatures also have the ability to make other aliens stronger by their War Cry.
8. A Better Advent 2
A Better Advent 2 is an AI overhaul for XCOM 2. This mod makes the game more difficult, and much more enjoyable to play. This mod is perfect for those players who really want a challenge, and more creatures to destroy. A Better Advent also introduces new creatures; around 60 new enemies come with this mod. All these creatures are diverse and powerful, with different ways to kill. The mod does a great job in improving the gameplay, and every one should check this out.
9. Stabilize Me!
This is a mod which adds a minor feature (in comparison with these other mods) but the feature it adds is of great use, and has a nice effect on the gameplay. Stabilize Me! is a medical mod. It allows you to use a medical kit to help your fallen trooper from bleeding out and dying. The mods adds a feature that many would appreciate, especially if their only medic goes down on the battlefield.
10. Panic Mod
This mod is another mod which improves the overall gameplay, while only adding a minute feature. Panic Mod adds a bit of sense into the soldiers. In XCOM 2 when you start shooting at enemies, they start to run to the line of fire, rather than away to a ground on the spot. This is, no doubt, fun to look at because cowardly fighters running while being confused is seriously hilarious, but it can be a pain when you want some realistic action. Panic mod remedies this by making sure that the soldiers run away from the line of fire.
11. Advent Officer: Call in Reinforcements
This is an unorthodox mod, as this does not work in your favor, instead, it favors your enemies – The Advents. How does it favor advents? Well, this mod allows the Advent Officer to call more advents to the battle when the initial ones have been wiped out. This can only be done once though, and you can set how strong the backup will be. This mod enhances the difficulty and brings more of a challenge to XCOM 2.
12. Show Me The Skills
Show Me The Skills is an XCOM 2 mod which aims to make your life easier. One problem with XCOM 2 is that there is no at a glance information available about things. So, looking for things such as a particular grunt with the skill you require is difficult and time-consuming. Show Me The Skills puts all the information in an easy to access place: the squad selection menu. The mod also allows you to set what can be seen here, including perks, stats, and more.
13. Evac All
Evac All is another mod which sets out to make your life in XCOM 2 easier. This is a simple mod, which should have been already present in the game. What this mod does is that it evacuates all your troops in a single click. This is achieved by a button which the mod overlays in the game. Now, instead of clicking individual soldiers to evacuate them, a single click will do the job. With the saved time, you can get to beating more aliens.
14. True Concealment
XCOM 2 has battle timers which add a little bit of difficulty to the game. There are many mods which tamper with this timer, some making the timer stop completely, while others decreasing the timer for more grueling and difficult battles. True Concealment, however, does not tamper with the timer, but rather makes it fair. In vanilla XCOM 2, the battle timer starts even when you are just hiding and have not been spotted. This mod only starts the timer when your first soldier is spotted. This is a nice mod which makes the timer system fairer.
15. Tactical Co-op
This mod is from the creators of XCOM, and it’s an amazing mod which works perfectly with the game, as the official developers worked on this mod. Tactical Co-op brings proper 2-player multiplayer to XCOM 2. The team is working on this mod to expand it to a 12-player multiplayer mod as well. The mod allows you to suffer the dice roll with a friend, which makes the game more fun.
For the mod, instructions are required to get it working. You can find them in the download link below.
16. Long War Alien Pack
This is another mod from the creators of XCOM. The mod blends in perfectly and is perfect for players looking for more things to kill. The Long War Alien Pack adds a lot of new aliens and monsters. These aliens differ in their abilities, with some having shooting abilities, while others just being plain old strong. The Mod even contains the Muton Centurion from the other mods stated above. The mod is well designed and the creatures in this pack even consist of Advent Troops for those who’d still like some original aliens to kill.
17. Grenade Damage Falloff
In vanilla XCOM, you can solve any problem by blowing stuff up. And as much as we love blowing stuff up, it takes away the precision and strategy from the game. You may be surrounded by enemies, and all it would take is a grenade to blow all of them into tiny little pieces. The grenade damage falloff mod does a great job in minimizing this. With this mod, your grenades are less powerful, and barely affect the enemies on the edges of the explosion; only the center of the explosion is where the damage is. This brings back the frustration and thrill of being surrounded by enemies and makes the game more difficult and real.
I am having the same issue of not being able to preview songs in the last few days as well. Permanent now? Will mp3va.com fix this and return to the good old. You can use the default audio player installed to your Operating system or you can use any other. A) Make sure that 'Manually manage music' is not selected. Mp3va no audio preview.
18. It’s Just A Scratch V2
This mod is useful for people who want to reduce the infirmary time of their soldiers or completely get rid of it. Taking just health damage granted by the armor on your soldier prevents any infirmary time. You don’t have to take any infirmary time if your soldier’s heath never falls below the base health. However, if your soldier’s health goes below the max base health then there will be infirmary time depending on your base health. Normally, the game considers remaining health vs total health. However, if you are using this mod then it will only consider remaining health vs base health, reducing the overall healing time in the game.
19. Additional Mission Types
The Additional Mission mod is a great mod which increases the content of XCOM 2. The mod introduces many new unique missions. These new missions provide a different experience than Vanilla XCOM. You can play a defensive mission by defending cities, neutralizing missions, and much more. This is one of the best mods to make XCOM 2 even better.
20. Guerilla War
This is one of the biggest mods for XCOM 2. It is a complete overhaul of the game. It changes the gameplay from wiping out all enemies in sight to completing the mission objectives and extracting. Extracting is necessary because, after the alert, the advents will call in reinforcements. Initially, it won’t be a large reinforcement, but after more time, it turns into a full blown squad. The mod requires you to think more than the original XCOM 2. In supply raids, you need to be more careful and less greedy. Overall, the Guerilla War mod is one of the most exhilarating, especially combined with the additional mission mod.
